Job summary

Finrep Advisors in Mumbai is seeking a newly qualified CA/ACCA affiliate to join our advisory accounting team. The role focuses on financial statement preparation, review, and compliance with Ind AS, IFRS and GAAP within advisory engagements.

You will support Ind AS transitions, financial instrument valuations, lease accounting, revenue recognition, and IFC reviews while developing client relationships and ensuring timely delivery within budgets.

Qualifications

• Experience as Chartered Accountant or ACCA Affiliate.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting and reporting functions.
• Familiarity with auditing standards and internal financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparation, review, and presentation of standalone and consolidated financial statements in compliance with Ind AS, IFRS, and GAAP.
• Supports clients in complex accounting areas such as Ind AS transitions, financial instrument valuations, lease accounting, and revenue recognition during advisory engagements.
• Undertakes process and controls advisory assignments, drafts report for review, facilitates issue tracking and validates closure of issues.
• Assists advisory team in reviewing clients' Internal Financial Controls (IFC), ensuring accounting workflows and controls align with reporting standards.
• Liaises with clients for information requests and query resolution; completes all tasks within agreed budgets.

Advisory engagements

• Assists in the preparation, review, and presentation of standalone and consolidated financial statements (Balance Sheets, P&Ls, Cash Flows, Notes to Accounts) in strict compliance with Ind AS, IFRS, and applicable GAAP.
• Supports clients in complex accounting areas such as Ind AS transitions, financial instrument valuations, lease accounting, and revenue recognition during advisory engagements.
• Undertakes process and controls advisory assignments, drafts report for review, facilitates issue tracking and validates closure of issues.
• Drafts high quality issues for review by project leader
• Assists the advisory team in reviewing clients' Internal Financial Controls (IFC), ensuring that accounting workflows and controls align with reporting standards.
• Liaising with Clients with regard to requests for information and query resolution
• Completes all assigned work in line with agreed budgets

Required Candidate profile

• Experience: 0 to 1 years of post-qualification experience (Newly qualified CAs / ACCA Affiliates or those with strong articleship experience in financial reporting are highly encouraged to apply).
• Knowledge of financial accounting and reporting function
• Good knowledge of auditing standards and concepts related to internal financial controls
• Solid relationship management, analytical, problem solving, communication, influencing, planning and presentation skills.
• Proactively develops and maintains professional working relationships with colleagues, the business and respective support areas.
• Takes ownership for own career management, seeking opportunities for continuous development of personal capability and improved performance contribution

Skills Preferred:

• Financial Statement Preparation, Consolidation, Ind AS, IFRS, GAAP, Account Finalization, Trial Balance Review.
