Job summary

Jupiter Hospital in Pune is seeking an Orthopedics professional to take ongoing responsibility for patients under care and to contribute to the development of orthopedics and critical care protocols. You will work with medical colleagues across specialties and participate in postgraduate activities.

You will maintain strong communication with general practitioners and external agencies, participate in clinical governance and risk management, and ensure data protection and infection control

Qualifications

• MBBS with Orthopaedics postgraduate qualification.
• Commitment to clinical governance and infection control.
• Ability to work in OT and ward settings with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Take ongoing responsibility for patients under care.
• Develop and maintain orthopedics and critical care treatment protocols and guidelines.
• Collaborate with medical colleagues across specialties and participate in clinical meetings.
• Communicate effectively with general practitioners and external agencies.
• Demonstrate involvement in risk management, clinical audit and data protection.
• Improve infection control practices and ensure safe clinical care.
• Provide Orthopedics service in OT and ward during routine and emergency hours under supervision.

Job Description

• To take ongoing responsibility for patients under his/her care.
• To participate in the development of the Orthopedics and critical care treatment protocols and guidelines.
• To develop and maintain collaborative relationships with medical colleagues in other specialties and participate in regular clinical meetings and other postgraduate activities.
• To develop and maintain good communications with general practitioners and appropriate external agencies.
• To demonstrate a firm involvement in clinical governance, risk management and clinical audit - this will include the development and maintenance of appropriate systems and practices to ensure continued safe clinical practice
• To share responsibility for data protection arising out of the use of computers, and to maintain good practice in the handling of confidential information.
• To be accountable for improving and complying with infection control practices.
• To provide Orthopedics service to patients in OT and ward during routine and emergency hours, under supervision of Director Orthopedic.
