Job summary

Genpact Ltd. seeks a Workday Functional Consultant with deep expertise in Core HCM and Time Tracking to configure, optimize, and support our Workday tenant.

You will translate complex business rules into efficient Workday processes, ensuring seamless workforce management and a reliable hire-to-retire lifecycle. You will serve as the primary functional expert, managing security, reporting, and integrations with EIBs, while driving end-to-end configurations and validation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Workday experience with at least 2 full life-cycle implementations or AMS post-production support.
• Core Mastery of Workday Core HCM concepts (Supervisory Orgs, Security, and Business Processes).
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a related field; Workday certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday Core HCM and Time Tracking configurations.
• Manage Supervisory Organizations, Staffing Models, Job Profiles, and Cost Centers.
• Configure and optimize Workday Business Processes (Hire, Change Job, Terminate, Time Off).
• Configure Time Tracking rules, schedules, time entry templates, and calculations.
• Ensure data flow from Time Tracking to Payroll and Absence Management; support data integrations.

Workday HCM & Time Tracking Consultant Position

Position: Workday Functional Consultant (Core HCM & Time Tracking)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Workday Functional Consultant with deep expertise in Core Human Capital Management (HCM) and Time Tracking modules. In this role, you will be responsible for the configuration, optimization, maintenance, and support of our Workday tenant. You will serve as the primary functional expert, translating complex business rules into efficient Workday processes, ensuring seamless workforce management and a reliable hire-to-retire lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Workday Configuration & Maintenance: Design, build, test, and deploy functional configurations within Workday Core HCM and Time Tracking modules.
• Manage and maintain foundational Workday structures, including Supervisory Organizations, Staffing Models, Job Profiles, and Cost Centers.
• Configure and optimize end-to-end Workday Business Processes (BPF) such as Hire, Change Job, Terminate, and Request Time Off.
• Time Tracking Expertise: Configure complex Time Tracking rules, period schedules, time entry templates, and calculations to meet corporate policies and legislative compliance.
• Manage time clock integrations, manager approvals, time-card overrides, and the seamless flow of data from Time Tracking to Payroll and Absence Management.
• Troubleshoot functional defects related to timesheets, missing allocations, and rounding rules.
• Reporting & Security: Design and build custom reports, matrix reports, and dashboards using advanced calculated fields.
• Configure and maintain Workday Security Groups, including role-based, user-based, and domain security policies to protect sensitive worker data.

Certifications

Workday Core HCM Certification is highly preferred; an advanced Workday Time Tracking certification is a significant advantage.

Technical Familiarity

Strong understanding of how functional configurations interact with data migration tools (EIBs) and downstream integrations.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Experience: hands-on functional experience in Workday, with at least 2 full-life-cycle implementations or extensive AMS post-production support.

Core Mastery: Proven expertise configuring Workday Core HCM concepts (Supervisory Orgs, Security, and Business Processes).
