Job summary

Medico Hub in Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh seeks a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynecologist (OBGYN) for full-time on-site service in the Obstetrics & Gynecology department. The role covers high-risk antenatal care, deliveries, C-sections, and comprehensive gynecologic care with 24x7 on-call duties.

Requirements include MBBS and MD/MS/DNB in Obstetrics & Gynecology with valid registration; 2–5 years post-MD for Consultant or 8–10 years for Senior Consultant. Fellowship is an added advantage.

Qualifications

• MBBS with MD/MS/DNB in Obstetrics & Gynecology and valid state registration.
• Consultant: 2–5 years post-MD/MS/DNB; Senior Consultant: 8–10 years post-specialisation.
• Fellowships in Maternal & Foetal Medicine, Reproductive Medicine, Infertility, Laparoscopy, Gynae Oncology or Urogynaecology are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and high-risk antenatal consultations.
• Monitor maternal and foetal well-being throughout pregnancy.
• Manage high-risk pregnancies including PIH, pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, GDM, placenta praevia and FGR.
• Perform normal vaginal deliveries, instrumental deliveries and C-sections (elective/emergency).
• Handle obstetric emergencies including PPH, ectopic pregnancy, uterine rupture and obstetric shock.
• Provide postnatal care and manage post-delivery complications.
• Conduct gynae OPD and manage common/complex conditions.
• Coordinate infertility cases with fertility specialists when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide preventive women's healthcare including cervical cancer screening, breast health counselling and HPV vaccination counselling
• Evaluate infertility cases and coordinate with fertility specialists when required
• Perform gynaecological procedures including hysterectomy, myomectomy, ovarian cystectomy, D&C, hysteroscopy and laparoscopic procedures as per expertise
• Manage obstetric and gynaecological emergencies on an urgent basis
• Participate in emergency and 24×7 on-call services
• Maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation
• Ensure compliance with NABH, NMC, PCPNDT and hospital protocols
• Participate in clinical audits, maternal outcome reviews and quality improvement programmes
• Mentor junior doctors, nursing staff and midwifery teams
• Develop and update maternity and gynaecology clinical protocols
• Contribute to the growth of Women & Child Care services and specialty clinics
