Job summary

JP Infra in Mumbai seeks a skilled real estate legal professional to handle due diligence and compliance for land acquisition within Maharashtra, focusing on the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. You will draft and negotiate development and conveyance documents, liaise with landowners, and coordinate with authorities to ensure adherence to revenue laws, MRTP, and RERA.

The role involves redevelopment projects, title verification, and handling litigation with external counsel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with real estate developers in the Mumbai Region.
• Exposure to multiple redevelopment and land acquisition projects.

Responsibilities

• Handle Due Diligence and other legal matters related to land acquisition within Maharashtra with focus on the MMR (Mumbai Metropolitan Region).
• Thorough understanding and application of Revenue Laws, MRTP Act, RERA, Stamp Duty, and Registration laws.
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating Development Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements, Power of Attorney, Conveyance Deeds, and other property related documents with landowners.
• Manage Society Redevelopment projects including legal documentation, consent procedures and co-ordination with societies and authorities.
• Conduct legal due diligence on land, entity and property, issue title search reports if required, and verification of ownership documents.
• Handle litigation and co-ordinate with external legal counsel when required.
• Ability to read and interpret 7/12 extracts, revenue authorities correspondence.
• Ability to enable RERA compliances.
