Job summary

OpenText Bengaluru seeks a Technical Consultant to collaborate with Professional Service Consultants on Documentum projects. You will blend strong communication with hands-on IT infra deployment expertise for Life Sciences customers, covering public and private cloud environments.

You will lead a consulting team, craft project plans, risk and quality checklists, and regularly update the project manager on progress.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of overall experience in the listed technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Info Archive shell, SIP SDK, REST architecture and gateway/web apps.
• Knowledge of table, data, file archiving and compound business record archiving.
• Experience with ETL tools (Content Bridge, OpenText IC, Talend) for SIP creation.
• Knowledge of RDBMS concepts; experience with Oracle and SQL Server.

Responsibilities

• Represent OpenText professionally to customers, partners and staff.
• Attend business meetings with BD team as SME when required.
• Translate customer needs into high-quality presentations, proposals and demos.
• Lead a team of consultants and coordinate with project manager on plans and risk mitigation.
• Document technical architecture and conduct detailed design, effort estimation and work breakdown structures.
• Acquire OpenText Proven Certification in Info Archive Administrator.

Job Summary

A Technical consultant at Open Text works closely with other Professional Service Consultants in the delivery of Documentum Projects. Therefore a combination of good communication skills - customer interactions, end to end IT infra Business application understanding, hands on experience on IT Infra Cloud Deployment in both Public Private env for Documentum Life sciences customers are required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Representing OpenText in a professional manner to customers, partners and other OpenText personnel at all times
• Attending new business meetings with the business development team to act as the subject matter expert as required
• Understand customer needs and develop high-quality presentations, proposals and software demonstrations that speak of these needs.
• Lead a team of consultants reporting to a project manager while assigned to active customer engagements. Collaborate with the project manager to define the project plan, risk mitigation plan, quality checklists and regularly communicate status to the project manager. Proactively identify issues and implement preventive/remedial measures
• Understand requirements, assist client facing team members in envisioning and documenting the technical architecture, conduct detailed design, determine level of effort, plan work breakdown structures and implementation approach
• Acquire OpenText Proven Certification in Info Archive Administrator

Requirements

• Overall experience of 2-4 years in below technologies.
• Detailed hands on experience in Info Archive shell, Submission Information Packages (SIP) SDK, Info Archive REST architecture, Info Archive gateway/ Web Applications.
• Thorough understanding of concepts of table archiving, data record archiving, file archiving and compound business record archiving.
• Experience in ETL tools like Content Bridge, Open Text Integration Center. Talend other third part ETL tools used for SIP Creation.
• Knowledge of xDB (Installation, Configuration and Administration) or any other PostgreSQL Database
• Knowledge of RDBMS concepts and hands on experience in working on Oracle and SQL Server - Structural / unstructured database, query management experience.
• Knowledge on shell/bash create install application, create retention, search, configurations using encryption and masking in data ingestion and search.
• Excellent problem solving, planning, and organizing skills and flexible approach.
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to present complex technical topics in a manner non-technical stakeholder can easily understand
• Good team player with effective motivation skills, collaboration, and prioritization skills
• Strong planning and analytical skills combined with ability to work with geographically distributed teams in a rapid development model
