Job summary

Supreme Hospital seeks an experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist to provide comprehensive diagnosis and management of GI, liver, pancreatic, and biliary disorders. The role requires expertise in endoscopy and multidisciplinary collaboration to optimize patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an MD/DNB in General Medicine with DM/DNB in Gastroenterology, has 4-5 years of relevant experience, and is registered to practice. Strong communication and evidence-based care are essential.

Qualifications

• MD/DNB in General Medicine with DM/DNB in Gastroenterology.
• 4-5 years of relevant experience as a Gastroenterologist/Consultant.
• Valid medical registration with the appropriate medical council.
• Experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage patients with gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders.
• Conduct consultations, clinical examinations, and follow-up of patients.
• Perform and interpret relevant diagnostic procedures and investigations.
• Perform gastroenterology procedures such as Upper GI Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, and other relevant procedures.
• Manage emergency gastroenterology cases when required.
• Provide appropriate medical and procedural treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient medical records.
• Coordinate with other specialists and departments for multidisciplinary patient care.
• Counsel patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment, procedures, and follow-up.
• Participate in clinical meetings, quality initiatives, and hospital protocols.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection-control standards, and applicable medical guidelines.
