Job summary

Flexing It is looking for an EHS Associate to develop, implement, and monitor environmental strategies that promote sustainable business practices, resource efficiency, and regulatory compliance in a Mumbai-based FMCG setting.

The role oversees EPR, renewable energy procurement coordination, and drives ESG initiatives across operations and supply chains, with emphasis on KPIs, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) activities and collect compliance data.
• Support procurement and administration of group captive renewable energy initiatives.
• Assist in ESG strategy development, climate transition plans, and net-zero targets.
• Track and report KPIs: Scope 1, 2, 3 emissions, energy use, waste diversion, and water use.
• Ensure adherence to local and international environmental laws, CSR mandates, and reporting frameworks (GRI, CDP, ISSB, BRSR).
• Conduct sustainability audits to identify energy-saving and waste-reduction opportunities.
• Collaborate with Facilities, Procurement, Marketing and HR to embed sustainable practices.
• Organize training sessions and awareness campaigns with internal teams and external experts.

Our client, a leading FMCG organization, is looking for an EHS Associate who can develop, implement, and monitor environmental strategies that promote sustainable business practices, resource efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

This role oversees Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance, coordinates Group Captive renewable energy procurement, and drives core ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives across operations and supply chains.

Key Responsibilities:

• Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR): Coordinate EPR-related activities with consultants and manage the collection and analysis of compliance data.
• Group Captive Project: Support the procurement of renewable energy and oversee the administrative coordination of group captive power initiatives.
• ESG & Environmental Strategy: Assist in the development and execution of ESG initiatives, climate transition plans, and net-zero targets.
• Data Collection & Reporting: Track, analyze, and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, energy usage, waste diversion, and water consumption.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to local and international environmental laws, CSR mandates, and global reporting frameworks such as GRI, CDP, ISSB, and BRSR.
• Process Optimization: Conduct sustainability audits to identify opportunities for energy conservation, waste reduction, and sustainable procurement.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Facilities, Procurement, Marketing, and HR teams to integrate sustainable practices into the company culture and operational policies.
• Engagement & Advocacy: Organize internal training sessions, workshops, and awareness campaigns for employees and stakeholders in collaboration with external experts.
