Blue Altair, Pune-based AI and digital transformation consulting firm, seeks a Consultant - Data Governance to define and implement governance policies. The role focuses on data quality, lineage, and regulatory compliance within complex data ecosystems.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, track KPIs, and drive governance best practices across IT and business functions, ensuring robust data stewardship and analytics readiness.

Qualifications

Job Overview:

Title: Consultant - Data Governance
Experience: 3-6 years
Location: Pune

Roles and responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement data governance policies and frameworks.
• Define and track data governance KPIs, integrate dashboards, and provide report overviews for leadership.
• Strong knowledge of Data Quality (DQ) concepts, data profiling, and issue resolution.
• Monitor, measure, and report on data quality metrics across systems.
• Maintain data lineage, metadata, and master data management practices.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Partner with business and IT teams to drive data stewardship and governance best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Requirement & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Management, or related field.
• Up to 3 years of experience in data governance, data quality, or data management.
• Familiarity with governance tools (Collibra, Informatica, Alation, or similar) is a plus.
• Knowledge of SQL and general database concepts preferred.
