Job summary

CorroHealth is seeking a Medical Coder in India (Dadri). The role focuses on extracting data from patient records, validating documents, and assigning CPT/ICD codes while maintaining strict confidentiality and coding accuracy.

The ideal candidate has a life science background and 0.5–2 years of coding experience with relevant certifications. We require strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to work in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Life Science graduate or equivalent with Anatomy/Physiology as main subject.
• 6 months to 2 years of work experience as a medical coder.
• Certifications CPC, COC, CRC, CPCP (AAPC) or CCS/CCSP/CCA (AHIMA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Extracting relevant information from patient records.
• Examining documents for missing information.
• Assigning CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9/ICD-10-CM, APC, DRG and ASA codes.
• Ensuring documents are grammatically correct and free from typing errors.
• Performing chart audits.
• Informing supervisor of issues with equipment and computer programs.
• Ensuring compliance with medical coding policies and guidelines.
• Ensuring codes tally with doctors diagnoses.
• Be updated about new coding rules as codes change.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ensuring documents are grammatically correct and free from typing errors.
• Performing chart audits.
• Informing supervisor of issues with equipment and computer program.
• Ensuring compliance with medical coding policies and guidelines.
• Ensuring that codes tally with doctors diagnosis
• Be updated about new coding rules as codes change from time to time
• Collecting and distributing coding related information and billing issues.

Required Expertise Qualification:

• Life Science graduation or any equivalent graduation with Anatomy/Physiology as
• main subjects
• 6 months 2 years of work experience as a medical coder.
• Any one of the following coding certifications CPC, COC, CRC, CPCP from AAPC CCS,
• CCSP, CCA from AHIMA
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong people skills.
• Outstanding organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
