Job summary

Deepak Nitrite Limited in Vadodara invites a Senior Project Manager to own detail engineering, procurement and construction through commissioning and handover to Operations. Develop and execute a fit-for-purpose project strategy with focus on schedule and cost control.

You will coordinate with licensors, EPCM, vendors and internal stakeholders, manage engineering risk, lead post-order activities, ensure HSE excellence, and drive quality objectives to deliver a world-class facility.

Responsibilities

Job description

1. Take ownership of the detail engineering, procurement, and construction phases of the project till successful commissioning and hand over the facility to Operations. Develop and implement a fit for purpose project execution strategy.

2. Coordinate with Licensor, EPCM, vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure that engineering progresses smoothly and that the interfaces are effectively managed. Monitors the progress of the engineering activities to ensure progress as per plan. Manages engineering risks through proper mitigation measures. Ensures that engineering issues are timely resolved through timely intervention and consultative processes.

3. Monitors the ordering activities for the project to ensure deliveries as per plan. Take lead in resolution of techno commercial issues for speedy ordering. Lead the post order management activities from the front. Conduct weekly/monthly review meetings with the vendors and ensure that all engineering holds are timely cleared. Closely monitor the manufacturing activities with personal intervention in managing schedule risks of critical category items.

4. Provide the required support to the Resident Construction Manager with respect to delivery of drawings and materials for smooth progress of the construction works. Take required remedial measures where failures in construction plans are emerging as project risks.

5. Collaborate with the commissioning/operations team in development and implementation of an effective "Operations Implementation Plan" to ensure a successful and safe commissioning of the Facility.

6. Champion effective implementation of HSE plan and ensure a visible and felt leadership across the project team. Inculcate the culture of zero harm in people and environment while building and commissioning of the facilities.

7. Closely work with the Quality Manager in ensuring framing of quality objectives/plan and ensure compliances.

8. Champion right behavioral skills to provide an effective leadership of the project team. Build a high-performance team to deliver performance exceeding the targets.

9. Ensure that project implementation is fully aligned to the overall vision and strategy of the group.

1. Having independently handled a project of at least 500 Cr as a Project Manager. Strategic thinking skills to develop "fit for purpose" execution strategies

Experience:

• 12 to 16 years of relevant experience.
