Deepak Group Co is seeking a Construction Planner for the Dahej Site to lead project planning, scheduling, and controls for large capital projects. You will establish control systems, drive schedule adherence, manage risks, and support digital transformation initiatives to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires 14–16 years in planning and a background in chemical, petrochemical or related process industries. Strong leadership and stakeholder management are essential.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, PMP/PMI-SP or equivalent certifications preferred.
• 14–16 years of experience in Project Planning, Controls and Capital Projects.
• Experience with Greenfield and Brownfield projects in process industries.

Construction Planner - Dahej Site

Job Purpose

To lead the Project Planning, Scheduling, Monitoring, and Project Controls function for large-scale Greenfield and Brownfield capital projects. The incumbent will be responsible for establishing project control systems, driving schedule compliance, optimizing resource utilization, managing project risks, supporting digital transformation initiatives, and providing strategic insights to senior management for successful project delivery within timeline, cost, and quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Project Planning & Control

• Establish and govern project planning and controls processes across multiple projects.
• Develop, review, and maintain integrated project schedules (L2, L3, and L4).
• Prepare and oversee Master Project Schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Define planning standards, project control procedures, KPIs and governance frameworks.
• Drive best practices in scheduling, forecasting and performance management.

Schedule & Progress Management

• Lead schedule development and baseline establishment.
• Conduct critical path analysis and identify schedule risks.
• Monitor progress against baselines and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop look-ahead, catch-up and recovery schedules.
• Forecast schedule slippages and provide recommendations.

Project Controls & Risk Management

• Establish project monitoring systems for cost, schedule and productivity.
• Lead delay analysis and risk mitigation planning.
• Support EOT claims and documentation.
• Drive Earned Value Management (EVM) practices.

MIS & Reporting

• Develop executive dashboards and reporting systems.
• Lead DPR, WPR and MPR preparation.
• Present project performance updates to management.

Resource & Performance Optimization

• Develop WBS and resource-loaded schedules.
• Optimize resource utilization across projects.
• Develop S-Curves, Histograms and Productivity Metrics.

Stakeholder Management & Leadership

• Lead review meetings with stakeholders.
• Coordinate Engineering, Procurement and Construction teams.
• Prepare executive presentations and strategic reviews.

Project Digitalization & Continuous Improvement

• Champion IPMS implementation.
• Drive digital tools and analytics adoption.
• Mentor planning engineers and project controls professionals.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering .
• PMP, Primavera P6 Professional, PMI-SP, AACE or equivalent certifications preferred.

Experience

• 14-16 years of overall experience in Project Planning, Controls and Capital Projects.
• Experience in Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
• Chemical, Petrochemical, Refinery, Fertilizer, Oil & Gas, EPC or Process Industry exposure.
• Leadership experience managing multiple projects and cross-functional teams.
