Job summary

Acesoft Labs in Bangalore is seeking an experienced Confluent Kafka Admin with 4+ years of hands-on experience to own our Kafka environment end-to-end. You will manage builds, tuning, capacity planning and daily operations to ensure high availability and performance.

The role requires strong scripting (Unix/Shell), DevOps practices, and hands-on work with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Vault and Jenkins. Git merge practices will be part of the daily workflow.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Confluent Kafka administration.
• Experience with Kafka Connect, KSQL, REST Proxy, and related components.
• Design, capacity planning, cluster setup, performance tuning, and monitoring of Kafka environments.
• Scripting skills (Unix, Shell) for managing Kafka infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Regular maintenance and updating of Confluent platform components (Kafka Connect, KSQL, REST Proxy, etc.).
• Handle Kafka environment builds, including design, capacity planning, cluster setup, performance tuning and monitoring.
• Perform high-level, day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for the Kafka cluster.
• Leverage DevOps practices to automate deployment and monitoring tasks; ensure security best practices for Kafka clusters.

Experience: 4+ Years

Location: Bangalore

Notice Period: Immediate - 15 Days

Skills:

Regular maintenance (update latest version/patching) of Confluent platform components Kafka Connect, KSQL, REST Proxy,C3, etc.) .

Handle all Kafka environment builds, including design, capacity planning, cluster setup, performance tuning and ongoing monitoring.

Perform high-level, day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for the Kafka Cluster.

Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for automating deployment and monitoring tasks. Understanding of security best practices for securing Kafka clusters and data. Strong scripting skills (e.g, Unix, Shell ) for managing Kafka infrastructure and deployments.

Good knowledge in AWS Cloud, Kubernetes, Terraform, Hashicorp Vault secrets management and Jenkins is necessary.

Good hands-on experience on Git and handling merge requests.
