Job summary

Radiant Digital seeks a Kafka Administrator to manage and support Apache Kafka environments with 4+ years of hands-on experience. You will handle cluster administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, upgrades, and production support to keep systems reliable and secure.

The role requires strong Linux/Unix skills, knowledge of Kafka security, and experience with Azure and AKS. You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure smooth data pipelines and system resilience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in managing and supporting Apache Kafka environments.
• Experience with cluster administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, upgrades and production support.
• Strong knowledge of Kafka security – SSL/TLS, SASL, ACLs.
• Proficient Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Apache Kafka environments in production.
• Troubleshoot and optimize Kafka clusters for performance and reliability.
• Perform upgrades and monitoring, ensure security and compliance.
• Provide production support and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

We are looking for a Kafka Administrator with 4+ years of experience in managing and supporting Apache Kafka environments. The candidate should have strong hands‑on experience in Kafka cluster administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, upgrades, and production support.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in Apache Kafka Administration
• Kafka brokers, topics, partitions, replication, consumer groups, ISR and troubleshooting
• Kafka monitoring, performance tuning, and production support
• Knowledge of Kafka security – SSL/TLS, SASL, ACLs
• Strong Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting
• Good exposure to Microsoft Azure
• Working experience on AKS.
• Confluent Kafka / Kafka Connect / Schema Registry
• Shell/Python scripting
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
