Qualifications

Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented CMDB Manager to oversee the management, maintenance, and development of our ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB). This role involves defining and implementing effective Configuration Management processes, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and collaborating with multiple teams to support robust IT Service Management (ITSM) operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain, and continually develop the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
• Oversee the Configuration Items (CIs) within the CMDB, ensuring accurate categorization, class, hierarchy, and relationship management.
• Define and implement robust Configuration Management processes aligned with organizational policies and objectives.
• Maintain accurate CI records through structured and effective change management processes.
• Conduct frequent audits of CMDB data, identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain data integrity.
• Work collaboratively with other ASPIRE Managed Service teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of Configuration Management with other ITSM processes.
• Generate accurate, timely reports on Configuration Items for stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Continuously monitor, assess, and report on the effectiveness of the Configuration Management practices and processes.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Strong understanding and practical experience with the ITIL framework.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in ITSM, with a primary focus on Configuration Management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex IT configurations in large organizational environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to effectively collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Superior organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven leadership experience and effective team management skills.
• Flexibility to occasionally work outside regular business hours as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ITIL v4 Foundation Certification highly beneficial.
• Additional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) desirable.
• Experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment preferred.
