Cadence in India seeks an exceptional Configuration Management Engineer to support a world-class multi-million-line product, coordinating build/test infrastructure across thousands of machines and tests.

You will manage configuration for large projects using admin access to tools like Perforce, Git, Mercurial, CVS, or ClearCase, and apply scripting with Shell, Python or Perl on UNIX systems to streamline SCM processes.

• Experience in Configuration Management of large projects (large code and test bases, multi-sited, hundreds of users)
• Admin access to one or more SCM tools (Perforce/Git/Mercurial/CVS/RCS/ClearCase)
• Expertise on build tools and SCM processes; strong scripting skills

Job Description

We are looking for an exceptional Configuration Management Engineer, to work in a team supporting a world-class multi-million-line product, supporting an engineering team of hundreds of engineers, and managing a build/test infrastructure spanning thousands of lines of infrastructure code, thousands of machines and millions of tests.

• Having working experience in Configuration Management of large projects (large code and test bases, multi-sited, hundreds of users)
• Exposure to one or more of Perforce/git/Mercurial/CVS/RCS/ClearCase as an admin
• Expertise on build tools and SCM processes. - Scripting skills at the level of an expert
• Using one or more of Shells/Python/Perl. - UNIX expertise – as user and (preferably) admin

Additional Job Description

• Exposure/expertise in HTML, CSS, Java script (&Frameworks) and AJAX
• Understanding/use of Relational and Flat Database systems (MySQL/Mongo/Cassandra)
• Exposure to tools such as Coverity, Valgrind, Purify, Quantify, gcov, gprof, Sanitizers

• Excellent problem-solving skills - Good communication skills (verbal/written)
• Ability to work/collaborate in a team and with people/teams
• Ability to multi-task between complex projects and operational requests
• Aptitude to learn new technologies rapidly

Education: BTech / M. Tech MCA in CS or IT
