Job Summary
A reputed Computer & Technology Store in the Maldives is looking for an experienced Computer & Laptop Technician to join its technical support team. The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in diagnosing, repairing, upgrading, and maintaining desktops, laptops, and related computer hardware.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: USD 700800 per month, based on experience
- Food Allowance: Provided by the company
- Shared Accommodation: Provided by the company
- Working Hours: 9 hours per day
- Weekly Off: 1 day
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair desktop computers and laptops.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and software.
- Replace and repair laptop components including:
- Laptop screens
- Keyboards
- Batteries
- RAM
- SSD/HDD
- Motherboards
- Perform computer hardware upgrades, preventive maintenance, and software troubleshooting.
- Carry out data backup and recovery‑related tasks when required.
- Troubleshoot printers, networking devices, and other computer peripherals.
- Identify hardware and software faults and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Test repaired systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and service records.
- Provide professional technical support and ensure customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements
- Male candidates only.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Computer & Laptop Technician.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Computer hardware
- Laptop troubleshooting
- Windows OS installation
- Software installation and configuration
- Basic networking
- Hardware upgrades and maintenance
- Ability to independently diagnose and resolve technical problems.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced computer service environment.
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in a computer retail shop or service center is preferred.
- Knowledge of laptop motherboard repair / chip-level troubleshooting will be an added advantage.
- Experience handling different brands of laptops and desktops is preferred.
- Good problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a technical team.
