Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, presentations, worksheets, assignments, and practice exercises.
• Conduct students assessments in a timely manner, including class tests, practical assessments, assignments, and project work.
• Evaluate student performance, provide constructive feedback, and support students who require additional guidance.
• Maintain student assessment data, attendance, records, and documentation of the programs work in the school.
• Use student-centered teaching methods and encourage participation, questioning, problem-solving, creativity, and practical learning.
• Maintain classroom discipline and ensure responsible use of computers, internet resources, and laboratory equipment.

COMPUTER TEACHER JOB DESCRIPTION

Position

• Computer Teacher

Responsibilities

• Provide quality computer training to students in the assigned school and conduct classes

online when required.

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate computer lessons using clear explanations,

demonstrations, activities, and practical sessions.

• Conduct regular computer laboratory/practice sessions and guide students through

hands-on exercises.

• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, presentations, worksheets, assignments, and

practice exercises.

• Conduct students assessments in a timely manner, including class tests, practical

assessments, assignments, and project work.

• Evaluate student performance, provide constructive feedback, and support students who

• Support school-level administration of the project and complete project-related work

assigned by the reporting officer.

• Coordinate with school staff and the reporting officer regarding schedules, student

progress, assessments, and program activities.

• Deliver sessions in English and the official language of the state, as required.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of computer fundamentals, operating systems, file management, and

basic troubleshooting.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Knowledge of internet usage, email, online safety, digital citizenship, and basic cyber-

safety practices.

• Knowledge of coding/programming concepts and ability to teach age-appropriate coding

through languages or platforms such as HTML, CSS, Python, Scratch, or similar tools.

• Ability to conduct practical computer laboratory sessions and guide students through

coding and application-based exercises.

• Ability to use digital teaching tools, online classrooms, presentations, multimedia

resources, and educational software.

• Basic understanding of computer hardware, peripherals, networking concepts, and

common software installation/troubleshooting.

• Ability to prepare digital learning materials, assessments, and student-performance data.

Teaching & Classroom Skills

• Create structured lesson plans aligned with the prescribed curriculum and

government/school guidelines.

• Explain technical concepts in simple, student-friendly language and adapt teaching to

different learning levels.

• Use demonstrations, practical exercises, group activities, projects, quizzes, and real-

world examples to make lessons interactive.

• Monitor student understanding during lessons and provide timely remedial support.
• Manage classroom and computer-lab behavior while promoting a safe, respectful, and

inclusive learning environment.

• Track learning outcomes and use assessment results to improve teaching and student

support.

• Encourage students to develop logical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, digital

confidence, and responsible technology use.

Qualifications

• B. Tech (any branch), MCA, or M.Sc. (Computer Science).
• Any graduation with coding training certification.
• Candidates with M. Tech / B. Ed. are given preference.

Experience

• 1+ years of experience in IT training, with familiarity in assessments, evaluation, and

practice sessions.
