Job summary

Inora Biotech Pvt Ltd seeks a Composting Project Field Executive / Site Supervisor to visit project sites, monitor composting processes, and ensure proper practices are followed.

You will observe moisture, earthworm health, turning, and smell, guide labourers, maintain reports, and report problems. Training under Mr. Ambadas will enable independent site work across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have knowledge of the composting process and preferably experience in composting/vermicomposting.
• Genuine interest and willingness to learn the composting process may be considered.
• Training under hands-on guidance to learn moisture management, turning, aeration, earthworm management, culture application, decomposition and harvesting.

Responsibilities

• Visit composting project sites on schedule.
• Observe moisture, earthworm health, turning, smells and signs of improper composting.
• Guide site labourers on proper composting practices.
• Maintain site visit reports and photographs.
• Identify problems at the site and report to concerned person.
• Monitor compost maturity and harvesting activities.

Composting Project Field Executive / Site Supervisor

Job Purpose

The person will be responsible for visiting composting project sites regularly, monitoring the composting process, and ensuring that proper composting practices are followed.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit composting project sites as per the required schedule.
• Observe and monitor:
  • Moisture level of composting beds
  • Earthworm health, activity and population
  • Turning and aeration of beds
  • Smell and other signs of improper composting
  • Decomposition of organic waste
  • Proper use and application of composting cultures
  • Waste segregation and removal of plastic/non-compostable material
  • Overall condition of composting beds
• Guide site labourers regarding proper composting practices.
• Check whether watering, turning, culture application and other activities are being carried out as instructed.
• Maintain site visit reports and photographs.
• Identify problems at the site and report them to the concerned person.
• Monitor compost maturity and harvesting activities.

Knowledge & Training Requirement

• The candidate should have knowledge of the composting process and preferably have experience in composting/vermicomposting.
• Candidates who do not have complete knowledge but have a genuine interest and willingness to learn the composting process may also be considered.
• The selected person will be trained in the practical aspects of composting under the guidance of Mr. Ambadas.
• The person should be willing to learn and understand the complete process, including moisture management, turning, aeration, earthworm management, culture application, decomposition, smell control and compost harvesting.
• After training, the person should be able to independently visit the project site, observe the process and identify basic problems.

Desired Qualifications

• 12th Pass / Diploma / Graduate.
• Agriculture, Horticulture, Environmental Science, Biology or Waste Management background will be an advantage.
• Experience in composting, vermicomposting or waste management will be preferred.
• Freshers may be considered if they have the right attitude and are willing to learn.
