Job summary

Accolade Electronics Private Limited in Pune is seeking a Component Engineer to oversee electronic component selection, part number creation, and lifecycle tracking. You will manage component master data in our ERP/PLM systems and ensure datasheets, compliance certificates, and lifecycles are accurately linked to each part.

The role requires hands-on OrCAD Central Library work, schematic symbols and PCB footprints, BOM creation and validation, and PCN/EOL/LTB monitoring, with RoHS/REACH

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech/ Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, E&Tc or related field is required.
• 0–2 years of experience in Component Engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of IPC standards and RoHS/REACH compliance.

Responsibilities

• Generate and manage new part numbers and master data in ERP/PLM.
• Link datasheets, compliance certificates, and lifecycle statuses to part numbers.
• Create and maintain schematic symbols and PCB footprints in OrCAD library.
• Prepare, review and validate BOMs before release to manufacturing.
• Monitor PCNs, EOL, and LT B notices and suggest replacements.
• Ensure environmental and regulatory documentation compliance (RoHS, REACH).

Job description

We at Accolade Electronics are looking for a Component Engineer responsible for electronic component selection, part number creation, component library management, BOM validation, and lifecycle tracking. The role also involves ensuring component data accuracy and compliance with IPC, RoHS, REACH, and other applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate and manage new part numbers, classify components accurately, and maintain the component master data within the ERP/PLM system.
• Ensure technical datasheets, compliance certificates, and lifecycle statuses are accurately linked to internal part numbers.
• Create, verify, and maintain schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and component parameters in the OrCAD central library, ensuring compliance with IPC standards.
• Prepare, review, and validate complex Bills of Materials (BOMs) for accuracy before releasing them to manufacturing or procurement.
• Monitor Product Change Notifications (PCNs), End of Life (EOL) notices, and Last Time Buy (LTB) alerts. Proactively recommend replacement parts to the design team.
• Verify and maintain documentation for environmental and regulatory compliance, including RoHS, REACH, and Conflict Minerals.
