About the Role

SRK Techtronics is seeking a Component Engineer to support component selection,validation, alternates, and lifecycle management for PCBA and Box Build products. The role requires strong understanding of electronics components, manufacturabilityfactors, and coordination with NPI, Quality, and Sourcing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select, and approve electronic components (active, passive,electromechanical, semiconductor).
• Review BOMs, schematics, and AVL for component correctness, availability, andfeasibility.
• Ensure component manufacturability and recommend their usage and specifications with respect to SMT, MI machines, Box Build assembly, and sourcing/supply-chainfeasibility.
• Identify alternate components to address cost, lead-time, or obsolescencechallenges.
• Support NPI with component availability analysis, ECN/ECO implementation, andobsolescence checks.
• Work with Sourcing, Quality, and Engineering for component qualification andsample approvals.
• Monitor compliance (RoHS/REACH/UL), PCNs, lifecycle changes, and maintain documentation.
• Engage with suppliers for datasheet clarification and technical evaluation.
• Support FA/FR activities and component-level debugging.

Qualifications

• Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation or related field.
• 2–4 years of Component Engineering experience in EMS/electronics/PCBA industries.
• Knowledge of component types, derating, packaging, reliability, and datasheetinterpretation.
• Basic understanding of SMT processes, MI operations, solderability, and BoxBuild fundamentals.
• Familiarity with BOM/AVL tools, ERP, and compliance standards.
