Chargebee is seeking a Community Engagement Associate to represent the brand across Reddit, Discord, Slack communities, forums, and emerging social channels. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates or those with up to two years of experience and a passion for authentic, real-time conversations.

You’ll monitor sentiment, engage with developers, founders, and finance teams, and collaborate with the Marketing team to shape how Chargebee is perceived online.

About the Team

The Marketing team at Chargebee drives revenue growth and brand awareness by capturing demand and delivering exceptional experiences to prospects and customers. The Community Engagement function owns the strategy and execution of grassroots community programs across social platforms, forums, Reddit, X, Discord, and other channels where our target audiences congregate. This function builds authentic relationships, listens to community sentiment, and represents the Chargebee brand while driving genuine engagement and advocacy among developers, founders, and billing professionals.

About the Role

As Community Engagement Associate, you'll be the voice and presence of Chargebee in online communities, representing the brand while authentically engaging with our audience across Reddit, Discord, Slack communities, forums, and emerging social channels. This role is perfect for someone fresh out of college or with up to two years of work experience. We're looking for someone curious, resourceful, and energized by real-time conversations. You'll ask thoughtful questions and spark discussions. You'll monitor community sentiment and help shape how people perceive Chargebee through genuine, direct engagement. You'll work alongside the broader Marketing team while having autonomy to explore communities, build relationships, and represent the brand in spaces where our customers and prospects naturally congregate.

What You'll Do

• Monitor and actively engage in online communities (Reddit, Discord, Slack, tech forums, Twitter Spaces, LinkedIn discussions) where our target audiences—SaaS founders, developers, finance teams, and subscription billing enthusiasts—spend time
• Ask thoughtful, genuine questions and spark meaningful conversations about subscription billing, revenue management, and recurring revenue challenges to understand community needs and pain points
• Respond authentically to community questions and comments about Chargebee, drawing on product knowledge. Escalate complex or critical issues to appropriate teams.
• Track and analyze community sentiment and trends. Share weekly insights with the Marketing and Product teams to inform strategy.
• Identify potential advocates and customers. Build genuine relationships and maintain regular conversations with active community members.
• Create and share community-focused content (insights, tips, discussion prompts) across channels to drive engagement and visibility of Chargebee.
• Participate in or help organize community events, AMAs, webinars, or initiatives to deepen relationships and gather feedback.
• Establish community guidelines and moderate discussions to foster healthy, welcoming conversations.
• Experiment with new communities and emerging platforms. Test engagement approaches and recommend which channels to prioritize based on audience activity and ROI.

• Demonstrated experience in social media and online communities. Familiarity with Reddit, Discord, Twitter, or similar platforms and how they work.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative while collaborating with a supportive team.
