India Running is where runners discover races, join run clubs, and find their community. Run Clubs is our newest feature, and the one with the strongest built-in virality. We’ve onboarded the first wave of clubs ourselves; now we’re hiring someone to own it full-time and take it to scale.
What you'll do
Grow the club base
- Find and reach out to run clubs across India: LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Instagram, wherever club captains actually are
- Own the outreach pipeline end-to-end: prospecting, first contact, follow-up, conversion
- Get every onboarded club properly set up: profile, members, first event live
Learn from every conversation
- Run structured discovery calls with club captains, going past the surface-level “yes/no” to the real reason behind it
- Track and synthesize patterns across clubs: what's working, what's blocking adoption, what clubs are asking for
- Turn that into a clear, recurring feedback loop back into product; you'll work directly with the PM on this
Keep clubs engaged, not just onboarded
- Be the go-to point of contact for onboarded clubs
- Address what's actually stopping them from being active, such as payments, privacy, comms, and retention, and elevate what needs product or engineering
- Turn early clubs into advocates who bring in the next ones
Think in product and growth terms
- Know your own funnel (contacted, onboarded, active) and treat every stage drop-off as a question to answer, not just a number to report
- Spot the difference between an outreach problem and a product problem, and push the right one to the right place
- Suggest and help test small changes, such as onboarding flow, messaging, and incentives, rather than only flagging issues and waiting
Own the number
- Track clubs contacted, onboarded, and active, and know your own funnel cold
- Report on what's driving growth and what isn't, without needing to be asked
What we're looking for
- You actually care about running or fitness communities; this shows up fast in how club captains respond to you
- You're comfortable with high-volume, high-touch outreach (DMs, calls, WhatsApp), and you don't get tired of following up
- You can hold a real conversation and dig past the first answer someone gives you
- You think in terms of funnels and loops, not just tasks; you want to know why a number moved, not just that it did
- You're self-directed. This role won't be closely managed day to day; you should want to make it grow, not wait to be told what's next
- You're comfortable evolving an approach as you learn, not just executing a fixed playbook
Good to have:
- Prior experience in community management, partnerships, growth, or ops roles with a strong relationship-building component, and bonus if that experience included any product or funnel thinking.
What success looks like
A steadily growing base of active clubs, a tight and current feedback loop between clubs and product, and a playbook that keeps getting sharper because you're the one sharpening it, with the judgment to know when the fix is a better pitch and when it's a better product.
