ACF and its partner organisations under the Life and Liberty project are seeking applications from inte rested candidates for the position of Communications Associate on a contractual basis (1 year, renewable), to be based in Delhi.
The organisation is looking for a candidate who will join ourCommunications team and help communicate the story and impact of our work with clarity, credibility, and purpose. Thewriter will develop content across our communications platforms, translating legal developments, casework, client experiences, and organisational updates into clear, engaging, and compelling stories that inform and connect with our audiences. This role is suited to someone with strong writing and editorial skills. The ideal candidate will be able toidentifythe heart of a story, communicate it with accuracy and sensitivity, and adapt their writing effectively for different audiences and platforms.
Job Responsibilities
- The candidate needs to research, write, and edit compelling case stories, client testimonies, articles, newsletters, reports, speeches, and website content.
- The candidate needs to draft donor communications, campaign materials, fundraising content, and impact stories.
- The candidate needs to interview clients, lawyers, staff members, and ministry partners to gather relevant stories and information.
- The candidate needs to develop content for social media, email campaigns, brochures, presentations, and other communication materials.
- The candidate needs to proofread and copy edit communication materials to ensure clarity, grammatical accuracy, appropriate tone, consistency, and factual accuracy.
- The candidate needs to maintain editorial quality, consistency, and accuracy across all publications and communication platforms.
- The candidate needs to assist in developing communication strategies and content calendars as required.
Admin and Other Responsibilities
- The candidate shall provide periodic updates to the Team Leader on assigned tasks and ongoing work.
- The candidate shall demonstrate flexibility with respect to working hours and work-related travel and shall undertake any additional tasks assigned by the Team Leader, as required.
- The candidate shall maintain strict confidentiality with respect to client information, matters, and plans.
Requirements
- The candidate shall hold a Bachelor’s degree in any field, with preference given to candidates with a degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, English, or a related field.
- The candidate shall have at least two years of proven experience in writing, journalism, content creation, or communications. Freshers with a strong portfolio or relevant skills shall also be encouraged to apply.
- The candidate shall preferably have experience writing for nonprofits, advocacy organizations, media houses, or legal organizations.
- The candidate shall have strong proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- The candidate shall have a manageable level of proficiency in Hindi, particularly in speaking.

- The candidate shall have excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- The candidate shall be willing and available to travel as required for story capture, interviews, and other assignments.
