Job summary

Vaaman Engineers in Pantnagar is seeking an experienced procurement professional to manage end-to-end procurement, costing, and vendor management for engineering projects. The role focuses on achieving cost effectiveness, timely material availability, and strong commercial controls.

The candidate should have 10+ years of relevant experience in Commercial, Procurement or Supply Chain within engineering/manufacturing sectors, with proficiency in SAP/ERP and MS Excel.

Qualifications

• Graduate/MBA/Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience in Commercial, Procurement, Supply Chain or Costing.
• Experience in Engineering / Manufacturing / O&M industry preferred.
• Hands-on knowledge of SAP/ERP and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of materials, spares, consumables and services.
• Develop vendors, float RFQs, evaluate quotations and conduct commercial negotiations.
• Ensure timely procurement and supply of critical materials as per requirements.
• Monitor inventory, lead time, pending POs and delivery schedules.
• Prepare costing, rate analysis, comparative statements and cost estimates.
• Drive cost reduction, procurement savings and value engineering initiatives.
• Manage vendor performance, contracts and commercial terms.
• Coordinate with Operations, Stores, Finance and other functions for smooth supply chain.
• Prepare procurement, costing, savings and supply chain MIS.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, SOPs and internal controls.
