Pharmaceutical retail firm seeks a commercially minded finance professional to own financial performance analysis and partner with operational management.

Responsibilities include root-cause analysis, identifying drivers, owning P&L commentary and recommendations, and escalating risks. Strong English communication and ability to work with UK stakeholders are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated root-cause analysis experience.
• Ability to investigate financial movements, identify drivers, quantify impact and locate concentration areas.
• Proven business partnering experience with stakeholders outside finance.
• Own a defined area of the P&L with commentary, recommendations and follow-up actions.
• Excellent written and spoken English, especially explaining financials to non-finance stakeholders and senior management.

Responsabilités

• Take ownership of financial performance analysis for a defined area of the P&L.
• Provide commentary and recommendations, and follow up on actions.
• Partner with operational management to drive financial performance.
• Escalate material financial or operational risks proactively.
• Communicate clearly with UK management and meet UK financial reporting deadlines.
• Coach colleagues or help establish analytical standards when possible.

We are looking for a commercially minded and experienced finance professional

who can take ownership of financial performance analysis and confidently partner

with operational management.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated experience in root-cause analysis.
• Be capable of investigating financial movements, identifying underlying drivers, quantifying their impact, and determining where the impact is concentrated.
• Have proven business partnering experience, working directly with stakeholders outside finance.
• Be able to take full ownership of a defined area of the P&L, including commentary, recommendations, and follow-up actions.
• Demonstrate excellent written and spoken English, particularly when explaining financial information to non-finance stakeholders and senior UK management.
• Be commercially aware and comfortable challenging figures or assumptions that do not appear reasonable.
• Work independently with limited supervision and maintain ownership of issues until a clear outcome is reached.
• Be confident in distinguishing between confirmed information, estimates, and areas of uncertainty.
• Be proactive in escalating material financial or operational risks.
• Be comfortable working UK business hours and meeting UK financial reporting deadlines.
• Experience coaching colleagues or helping establish analytical standards would be advantageous.
