Job summary

Emerson in India seeks a seasoned Finance professional to partner with Sales and Bookings governance, driving recurring cadence, forecast accuracy, and backlog alignment with delivery lead times. You will translate discussions into numbers and challenge budgets against actuals to ensure accountability and performance.

You’ll enable finance transformation with AI-enabled reporting and BI tools, maintain data automation, and support cross-functional teams to optimize processes and deliver

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in Accountancy/CS/CMA/CPA.
• 7-9 years of relevant accounting and financial management experience.
• Proficiency with Oracle and HFM preferable.
• Team leadership and development.
• Able to travel ~25% of time, as required.
• Proven experience of initiating and implementing operational improvements.

Responsibilities

• Partnering with Sales team and Bookings/orders governance for recurring cadence.
• Drive accountability on major bookings in funnel vs forecast / rolling budgets commitments.
• Challenge forecast/rolling budgets commitments from Sales leadership based on probability, timings, scope, terms.
• Translate discussions into finance numbers and explain movements versus budgets.
• Push Sales team to achieve committed numbers.
• Ensure data sanity by comparing CRM Funnel and Order forecasts by business and product.
• Drive forecast/rolling budget commitments by backlog management and phasing discipline.
• Ensure backlog phasing aligns with delivery lead times and historical trends.
• Reconciling backlog phasing with rolling sales forecasts and commitments.
• Support finance transformation initiatives by implementing AI-enabled solutions and BI tools.
• Maintain automation mindset to streamline data sources and data lakes.
• Contribute team playing, creative thinking and solutions that help achieve objectives.
• Support in ad-hoc requests.
