Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in commercial law, preferably in a fast-paced technology or global services company.
• Experience leading contract drafting, review, and high-stakes commercial negotiations.
• Experience supporting business operations across multiple EMEA jurisdictions is highly desirable.

Position Summary

We are looking for a skilled Commercial Counsel with a minimum of 5 years of post‑qualification legal experience to join our team. This role will be crucial in supporting our EMEA commercial operations, focusing on high‑volume commercial negotiations, drafting, and reviewing a variety of agreements. The successful candidate will be a key legal partner, building strong rapport with internal stakeholders to drive business while ensuring legal compliance and effective risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Commercial Contracts and Negotiation

   • Lead and execute commercial negotiations for customer contracts and strategic partnerships across the EMEA region, during EMEA working hours.

   • Draft, review, and negotiate Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and Non‑Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).

   • Maintain and update contract templates and standard terms for regional consistency and efficiency.

2. Stakeholder Partnership

   • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with critical internal business partners, Sales, Customer Success, and Procurement teams, among others.

   • Provide prompt, practical, and commercially-minded legal advice to internal clients on day‑to‑day commercial matters.

   • Support cross‑functional business initiatives with legal guidance, documentation, and training.

3. Legal Advisory and Risk Management

   • Identify, assess, and advise on legal risks in business transactions, proposing pragmatic mitigation strategies tailored for the EMEA environment.

   • Ensure all contract terms comply with applicable local and regional laws and regulations.

   • Assist in developing, updating, and enforcing company policies and procedures relevant to commercial activities in EMEA.

Required Qualifications

1. Education and Experience

   • Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.

   • Minimum 5 years of post‑qualification experience in commercial law, preferably in a fast‑paced technology or global services company.

   • Proven experience in leading contract drafting, review, and high‑stakes commercial negotiation.

   • Experience working with or supporting business operations across multiple EMEA jurisdictions is highly desirable.

2. Legal Knowledge

   • Strong understanding of international contract law and commercial regulations.

   • Familiarity with various technology agreements, service agreements, and licensing models.

   • Knowledge of data protection and privacy laws relevant to the EMEA region.

3. Skills and Competencies

   • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and professionally to business teams.

   • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
