Job summary

Chola is seeking an MIS Analyst to provide timely analytics on collections performance, dashboards, and portfolio data. You will publish daily/weekly/monthly MIS, monitor delinquencies, and support leadership with data-driven actions.

The role requires strong Excel and Power BI skills, proficiency in SQL, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• MBA/PGDM or equivalent qualification in Finance/Analytics is advantageous.
• Strong Excel skills with Pivot, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and data analysis.
• Experience in MIS reporting, dashboards, data validation, and governance.

Responsibilities

Job description

Role Purpose:

To provide timely and accurate MIS, analytics, and business insights to the Collections function by managing collection performance reports, dashboards, portfolio data, and analytical requirements. The role will support collections leadership in monitoring performance, identifying gaps, and driving data-based actions across regions and stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and publish daily, weekly, and monthly Collections MIS covering portfolio, collections, delinquency, resolution, productivity, and other key performance metrics.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and performance trackers for monitoring collections performance across zones, regions, branches, stages, and agencies.
• Analyse collection trends, delinquency movement, roll-forward/roll-back, resolution rates, productivity, and other portfolio indicators.
• Provide actionable insights to Collections leadership by identifying performance gaps, emerging trends, and areas requiring intervention.
• Coordinate with Collections, Business, Finance, IT/Data, and other stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timely reporting.
• Maintain and strengthen MIS processes, templates, data definitions, and reporting mechanisms to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Support management reviews by preparing performance decks, analytical reports, and management dashboards.
• Track key collection KPIs and highlight deviations against business targets and budgets.
• Support agency/vendor performance MIS, including productivity, collections efficiency, allocation, and recovery performance, wherever applicable.
• Develop ad-hoc reports and analysis based on business requirements and management priorities.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement in Collections MIS and reporting.
• Ensure proper documentation and governance of reports, data sources, processes, and reporting timelines.
• Support periodic business reviews and provide relevant data points for strategy and decision-making.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of Collections / Receivables / Delinquency Management.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large datasets.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis, and dashboard creation.
• Knowledge of Power BI / SQL / other MIS and analytics tools will be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of MIS reporting, data validation, reconciliation, and dashboard management.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and manage time-sensitive reporting requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on data accuracy.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to convert data into meaningful business insights and actionable recommendations.

Educational Qualification

• MBA / PGDM / equivalent qualification in Finance, Analytics, Operations, or a related field will be an added advantage.
