Softobiz in Kochi is seeking a Senior Business Central AL Developer with 6–8 years of core experience to lead ERP customization, data migrations and integrations with Dataverse and iPaaS platforms. This onsite role reports to the COE Lead – ERP & Digital.

You will design AL extensions, migrate legacy C/AL, build REST/APIs, and drive DevOps workflows in Azure DevOps, with a focus on scalable, cloud-ready solutions for enterprise clients.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of overall experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central development.
• 3+ years dedicated specifically to modern AL extension models.
• Delivery scope includes multi-system integration and data migrations.

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Central AL Developer with 6–8 years of core experience to join our growing ERP service engineering team on site in Kochi. Reporting directly to the COE Lead – ERP & Digital, you will drive technical execution, system extensions, and integration architectures across Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations for enterprise clients. This product delivery-focused role involves architecting custom AL extensions, executing complex data migrations, and managing enterprise integrations with Microsoft Dataverse and modern iPaaS platforms. You will play a vital role in scaling our COE capability and delivering high-performance digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Core Business Central Customization & Architecture

• Design and build scalable, maintainable custom extensions using Visual Studio Code and modern Application Language (AL) for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Refactor and migrate legacy C/AL code bases, customizations, and classic NAV objects into modern, cloud-compliant AL extension architecture.
• Implement and optimize core operational modules spanning Finance, Supply Chain, Inventory, Sales, and Purchasing.
• Perform thorough code reviews to enforce Microsoft best practices, maintain solution performance, and ensure future upgrade compatibility.

Integration & Data Management

• Design and maintain RESTful APIs, custom OData pages, and SOAP web services to facilitate seamless external platform integrations.
• Configure and manage cross-platform data synchronization between Business Central and Microsoft Dataverse using standard and custom integration components.
• Build automated workflows using iPaaS tools (e.g., Workato, Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate) to enable real-time enterprise data exchange.
• Execute data migration routines, preparing ETL scripts to ensure accurate, zero-loss transfer of legacy master and transactional data.

Telemetry, Maintenance & DevOps

• Diagnose and resolve complex platform errors, performance bottlenecks, and environment issues using Business Central telemetry logs.
• Manage build pipelines and environment deployments in Azure DevOps utilizing Git version control standards.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, solution architects, and external stakeholders to convert functional specifications into technical solutions.

• Experience: 6–8 years of overall experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central development, with 3+ years dedicated specifically to modern AL extension models.
• Delivery Scope: Proven track record in multi-system integration delivery, complex data migrations, and end-to-end ERP project execution.

• Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer Associate (MB-820)
• Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400)

• Core Delivery: Deliver custom AL modules, API pages, and automated workflows according to project specifications.
• Pipeline Hygiene: Establish standardized Azure DevOps deployment gates and linting guidelines across active code repositories.
