Job summary

IKS Health Limited in Mumbai seeks an experienced Medical Coding Specialist to ensure accurate CPT, ICD, and HCPCS coding in line with CMS guidelines. You will review records, resolve queries, and mentor new joiners during OJT, staying updated on regulatory changes.

Candidates should have 1+ year of coding experience, CPC/COC/CCS certification, and strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT/ICD, CMS guidelines, and NCCI edits. Typing speed 30–35 WPM is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant medical coding experience.
• Mandatory CPC / COC / CCS certification.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Good understanding of CPT, ICD, HCPCS, CMS guidelines, and NCCI edits.
• Excellent comprehension, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Typing speed of 30-35 WPM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign accurate CPT, ICD, HCPCS codes, and modifiers.
• Analyze patient documentation to determine appropriate codes for medical billing.

• Support quality and productivity improvement initiatives.
• Monitor pending queues and review coding feedback reports.

• Mentor new joiners during the On-the-Job Training (OJT) phase, as required.
