Job summary

Guidehouse India Pvt Ltd in Chennai is seeking a medical coder to accurately transform medical diagnoses and procedures into ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS codes, ensuring that daily coding volumes are turned around within the required turnaround time and that accuracy stays above 95%.

You will work independently and with the coding team, participate in weekly QA / team meetings, and coordinate with the Quality Analyst and Team Lead.

Qualifications

• Graduate in life sciences or paramedical fields.
• Certified by AAPC or AHIMA (CPC, COC, CCS).
• 1–2 years of coding experience in medical records.
• Strong ability to interpret medical records with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Accurately transforms medical diagnoses and procedures into ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS codes.
• Ensure daily coding volumes meet turnaround times with accuracy above 95%.
• Interact with TL and QA team to receive and implement feedback.
• Attend weekly QA / Team meetings and coordinate with Quality Analyst/Team Lead.
