Job summary

Mphasis in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Mainframe developer with strong COBOL/DB2/VSAM skills and Life Insurance domain experience to design, develop, and migrate policy administration systems.

The role requires expertise in policy administration architecture, SQL, and the ability to work on complex migration projects while staying current with Life and Annuity market updates.

Qualifications

• Experience with mainframe technologies and life/annuity domains.
• Knowledge of policy administration system design and architecture.
• Experience in migration/conversion projects for insurance systems.
• Strong SQL experience and data handling.
• Ability to participate in design reviews and project life cycle steps.

Responsibilities

• Must have experience on Life Admin Systems/Life Insurance, Annuity products.
• Min 6+ years of experience in development of policy administration system (COBOL).
• Min 5+ years of experience in development/maintenance and Support projects of Mainframe preferably Cobol & DB2.
• Min 5+ yrs of experience in SQL.
• Must have good knowledge of Policy Administration System design and architecture.
• Must have hands-on experience of Insurance Policy Admin system Migration/Conversion project.
• Must be aware of new technologies and market updates with respect to Life and Annuity business.
• Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and design the proposed IT solution.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations and information/data flow, and follow the Project Life Cycle Methodology.
• Adhere to IT Control Policies and Corporate Architectural Standards in design and testing.
• Document High Level and Low Level technical specifications.
• Good communication, problem solving & interpersonal skills.
• Having Life insurance certifications such as LOMA will be added advantage
