Inorbii in Bengaluru seeks a Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer (Aerospace/Hardware) to lead the end-to-end technical strategy for the orbital compute platform and own system architecture across solar, compute, and thermal subsystems.
You will guide hardware and firmware design, manage engineering teams, collaborate with founders on fundraising, and align designs with mission requirements while building a mission-aligned engineering organization.
Inorbii is building orbital data center infrastructure, creating a new compute tier engineered to operate above Earth’s atmosphere. The company focuses on workloads such as frontier AI training, batch inference, scientific simulation, and archival compute that benefit from near-continuous solar power, radiative cooling, and zero terrestrial footprint. Its modular payload integrates solar generation, compute, and radiative cooling into a single, serviceable platform deployed in low-Earth orbit and operated from the ground. Inorbii emphasizes engineering realism, explicitly addressing launch economics, radiation, in-orbit servicing, latency, and debris through modularity, graceful degradation, and radiation-hardened design. The roadmap spans foundational subsystem and mission engineering, an on-orbit demonstrator, and scaling to a production orbital compute fleet with deep collaboration across aerospace, HPC, and infrastructure partners.
As Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer (Aerospace / Hardware), you will lead the end-to-end technical strategy and implementation of Inorbii’s orbital compute platform. This full-time, on-site role in Bengaluru involves owning system architecture for integrated payloads, defining interfaces between solar generation, compute, thermal management, and communications subsystems, and guiding hardware and firmware design decisions. You will oversee engineering teams across aerospace, mechanical, electrical, and embedded domains; review detailed designs, simulations, and test plans; and ensure that reliability, safety, and mission-critical performance requirements are met. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with launch and satellite partners, managing technology roadmaps from subsystem prototypes to orbital demonstrators, and building processes for design validation, environmental testing, and in-orbit operations. You will collaborate closely with fellow founders on fundraising and technical due diligence, contribute to customer and partner conversations, and help recruit and mentor a mission-aligned engineering organization.
