Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical documentation, with strong understanding of machining processes and tolerances.
• Hands-on experience programming and setting up CNC, VMC, and HMC machines using standard G-code and controller interfaces (Fanuc/Siemens).
• Knowledge of tooling selection, work-holding, speeds/feeds, and process optimization for metals and industrial materials.
• Competence in quality inspection using vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and dial indicators.
• Familiarity with CAM software or related programming tools, and willingness to learn new systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to correct programming and machining errors quickly.
• Effective communication and collaboration to work with operators, maintenance, and production supervisors.
• Commitment to workplace safety, housekeeping, and adherence to SOPs.
• Relevant technical education; prior machining experience preferred.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site CNC/VMC/HMC Machine Programmer role located in Surat, Gujarat. The role involves creating and optimizing CNC programs for machining operations on CNC, VMC, and HMC machines, based on engineering drawings and specifications. Day-to-day tasks include selecting appropriate tools and cutting parameters, setting up machines, performing trial runs, and adjusting programs to achieve required tolerances and surface finishes. The programmer monitors ongoing production, troubleshoots machining issues, and collaborates with operators, supervisors, and quality teams to ensure output meets safety, quality, and productivity standards. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate documentation, adhering to safety protocols, and supporting continuous improvement in machining processes and cycle times.
