Job summary

Naukripay is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for milling, turning, and multi-axis machines, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

The role requires reading drawings, GD&T, and using CAD/CAM tools; you will develop toolpaths, select tools, set up programs, and coordinate with production and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience as CNC Programmer or CNC Setter preferred.
• Knowledge of turning, milling, VMC/HMC or multi-axis machining is a plus.
• Freshers with relevant training may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Create/modify CNC programs for milling, turning, and other operations.
• Read engineering drawings, specs, and 3D CAD models.
• Develop toolpaths using CAM software and select tools.
• Set up and prove out programs on CNC machines.
• Run simulations and correct issues before production.
• Optimize processes to improve productivity and tool life.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and modify CNC programs for milling, turning, drilling, and other machining operations.
• Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and 3D CAD models.
• Develop efficient tool paths using CNC programming software and CAM systems.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, work-holding methods, speeds, and feeds.
• Set up and prove out programs on CNC machines.
• Perform program simulations and make necessary corrections before production.
• Optimize machining processes to improve productivity, quality, and tool life.
• Troubleshoot programming, tooling, and machining issues.
• Inspect finished components to ensure compliance with drawings and quality standards.
• Coordinate with production, design, tooling, and quality teams.
• Maintain accurate records of CNC programs, revisions, and setup documentation.
• Follow all safety procedures and company manufacturing standards.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of CNC programming for milling, turning, or multi-axis machines.
• Proficiency in G-code, M-code, and CNC machine controls.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a CNC Programmer, CNC Setter, or CNC Machinist will be preferred.
• Knowledge of CNC turning, milling, VMC, HMC, or multi-axis machining is an advantage.
• Freshers with relevant technical training may also be considered.
