SKS Accessories in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, invites applications for a CNC Operator & Assembler. The role involves operating CNC lathe and VMC machines, loading programs, setting tool offsets, and assembling pumps and machine units to meet drawings and BOM.

We look for ITI (Turner/Fitter/Machinist) or Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering with 1–3 years' hands-on CNC and assembly experience. Freshers may be considered for trainee grade.

Mansioni

• Set up, operate and monitor CNC lathe/VMC as per drawings and job cards.

• Carry out routine machine upkeep, tool changes and basic troubleshooting.

Job Description: CNC Operator & Assembler

Company: SKS Accessories, Coimbatore Department: Production Reports to: Production Supervisor

Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu Employment Type: Full-time Experience: 1 to 3 years (freshers with ITI/Diploma training may be considered for trainee grade)

Role Summary

The CNC Operator & Assembler runs CNC machines to produce precision components for pumps and industrial machines, and assembles those components into finished products to quality standards and delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

CNC Operation

• Set up, operate and monitor CNC lathe / VMC machines as per drawings and job cards
• Load programs, set tool offsets and fix jobs and fixtures correctly
• Measure parts using vernier, micrometer, bore gauge and other instruments during and after

machining

• Carry out routine machine upkeep, tool changes and basic troubleshooting
• Report breakdowns, tool wear and process issues to the supervisor promptly

Assembly

• Assemble pumps, machine units and sub-assemblies as per drawings, BOM and work

instructions

• Fit bearings, seals, shafts, fasteners and other components with correct torque and alignment
• Perform basic functional checks and testing before handover to quality inspection
• Keep assembly stations, tools and parts organized and traceable

General

• Meet daily production targets without compromising quality
• Follow safety rules, wear PPE and maintain 5S on the shop floor
• Record production data, rejections and rework accurately
• Support other production tasks when required

Qualification and Experience

• ITI (Turner / Fitter / Machinist) or Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering
• 1 to 3 years of hands‑on experience in CNC operation and mechanical assembly

Skills Required

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Working knowledge of CNC lathe / VMC operation, tooling and offsets
• Proficiency with measuring instruments and awareness of tolerances
• Knowledge of mechanical assembly, fits and fasteners
• Basic understanding of quality checks, 5S and workplace safety
• Discipline, punctuality and willingness to work in shifts if required

Preferred

• Experience in the pump, valve or industrial machinery industry
• Knowledge of Fanuc / Siemens controls
• Basic Tamil and English communication
