Job summary

ERM Placement Services is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer with 4-6 years of experience to design, implement and manage cloud security technologies across Microsoft Sentinel, analytics rules and incident response playbooks.

You will design dashboards, automate playbooks, and use Python, KQL and Azure tools to detect threats, hunt for anomalies, and respond to incidents in customer environments. Collaboration with clients and security teams is essential.

• Design, implement and manage cloud security technologies for enterprise environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel and security analytics
• Proficient in scripting for automation (Python, PowerShell) and cloud APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage cloud security technologies, including Sentinel connectors, analytics rules and playbooks.
• Design Sentinel dashboards and automated playbooks aligned with security requirements.
• Use Python and KQL in Logic Apps, Graph API and Azure SDKs for threat detection and response.
• Engage clients to understand requirements and provide configuration guidance for security environments.
• Configure and validate security tools to align with customer policies.
• Research and propose improvements to enterprise security architecture.
• Support incident response and security operations with customers.
• Understand NSGs, Private Links, Private endpoints, Azure LB, Entra ID, PIM etc.
• Write PowerShell scripts or Azure CLI scripts on Linux is a plus.

Cloud Security Engineer (4-6yrs):

• Design, implement and manage cloud security technologies, including Microsoft Sentinel SIEM connectors, analytics rules, workbooks and incident response playbooks.
• Design Microsoft Sentinel dashboards and automated playbooks aligned with prioritized security requirements.
• Use security automation platforms and languages such as Python and KQL in Logic Apps, Graph API and Azure SDKs for threat detection, hunting and response.
• Engage clients and stakeholders to understand requirements, manage interactions and provide configuration and optimization guidance for Microsoft security environments.
• Configure and validate security tools (e.g., Sentinel Analytics Rules, Logic Apps, Microsoft Defender for Cloud etc.) to align with customer policies.
• Research, engineer and recommend improvements to enterprise security architecture and toolsets.
• Support incident response and security operations in coordination with customer.
• Understanding of NSGs, Private Links, Private endpoints, Azure LB, Entra ID, PIM etc. and other cloud technologies.
• Ability to write PowerShell scripts or Azure CLI scripts on Linux will be a plus.
