Job summary

ERM Placement Services is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer with 4-6 years of hands-on security experience to design, implement and manage cloud security technologies across Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Cloud and related tools.

You will build dashboards and automated playbooks, write scripts in Python, PowerShell and KQL, engage clients to tailor configurations, and contribute to secure cloud architectures with NSGs, private endpoints and Entra ID.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of cloud security experience with hands‑on design and implementation.
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Cloud and related tooling.
• Ability to script in Python, PowerShell and KQL for automation and analytics.
• Ability to engage clients, understand requirements and tailor configurations.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage cloud security technologies across environments.
• Create Sentinel dashboards, analytics rules, playbooks and incident response workflows.
• Develop automation using Python, PowerShell and KQL in Logic Apps and Azure SDKs.
• Configure security controls (NSGs, Private Links/Endpoints, Entra ID, PIM, LB) per policy.
• Support threat detection, hunting and response and coordinate with customers.

Job description

Cloud Security Engineer (4-6yrs):

• Design, implement and manage cloud security technologies, including Microsoft Sentinel SIEM connectors, analytics rules, workbooks and incident response playbooks.
• Design Microsoft Sentinel dashboards and automated playbooks aligned with prioritized security requirements.
• Use security automation platforms and languages such as Python and KQL in Logic Apps, Graph API and Azure SDKs for threat detection, hunting and response.
• Engage clients and stakeholders to understand requirements, manage interactions and provide configuration and optimization guidance for Microsoft security environments.
• Configure and validate security tools (e.g., Sentinel Analytics Rules, Logic Apps, Microsoft Defender for Cloud etc.) to align with customer policies.
• Research, engineer and recommend improvements to enterprise security architecture and toolsets.
• Support incident response and security operations in coordination with customer.
• Understanding of NSGs, Private Links, Private endpoints, Azure LB, Entra ID, PIM etc. and other cloud technologies.
• Ability to write PowerShell scripts or Azure CLI scripts on Linux will be a plus.
