Job summary

N Consulting in India is seeking a Cloud Migration Engineer to lead on-prem to cloud transformations from Bangalore/Hyderabad. You will drive workload assessment, testing, cutover plans and validation for large-scale migrations.

The role requires 8 to 12 years of experience, strong Python skills, and hands-on work with AWS services and automation frameworks. This position is set for on-site work with potential project-based travel.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with cloud migration strategies and post-migration validation.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Shell or similar languages for automation.
• Familiar with RESTful APIs, API design and gateway patterns.
• Strong background in automated build/test/deploy pipelines and version control.
• Experience with batch scheduling tools and workflow orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Cloud Migration: understands on-prem to cloud migration, workload assessments, testing and cutover.
• Programming and Automation: build scripts and automation utilities with Python/Java/Shell.
• APIs and Integration: design and work with RESTful APIs and API Gateway patterns.
• CI/CD and Version Control: manage pipelines with GitLab/Jenkins/Maven.
• Batch Scheduling: operate Autosys/Control-M/Cron or equivalent tools.

AWS Services: Hands-on experience with AWS compute and migration patterns, including ECS, EKS, Lambda, CloudWatch, and related cloud services.

• Cloud Migration: Practical understanding of on-prem to cloud migration strategies, workload assessment, testing, cutover, and post-migration validation.
• Programming and Automation: Experience with Python, Java, Shell, or similar languages to build scripts, utilities, and automation frameworks.
• APIs and Integration: Working knowledge of RESTful APIs, API design, and API Gateway patterns.
• CI/CD and Version Control: Strong experience with GitLab, Jenkins, Maven, or similar tools supporting automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
• Batch Scheduling: Experience with batch scheduling platforms such as Autosys, Control-M, Cron, or equivalent workflow orchestration tools.
