Job summary

Cloudxtreme in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to architect, deploy, and manage scalable cloud environments. You will automate provisioning with Terraform, build CI/CD pipelines, enforce security and cost controls, and optimize containerized workloads with Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of proven experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps.
• Deep, hands-on production experience in AWS and GCP.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python and SQL.
• Extensive IaC expertise with Terraform, container orchestration with Kubernetes, and observability tools.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with software engineering and security teams.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Deployment: Architect, deploy, and manage robust cloud environments utilizing core AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, VPC, RDS) and GCP services.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop, maintain, and automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform.
• Automation & CI/CD: Build, manage, and optimize continuous integration and deployment pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) and automate routine operational tasks.
• Security & Compliance: Implement least-privilege IAM policies, configure network security, enable encryption, and ensure infrastructure complies with industry standards.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Manage, scale, and orchestrate containerized applications and workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitoring & Reliability: Monitor system performance, analyze resource utilization, troubleshoot complex issues, and execute cost-optimization strategies to ensure 99.9% uptime.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 5-10+ years of proven experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps.
• Cloud Expertise: Deep, hands-on production experience navigating and managing environments in both AWS and GCP.
• Programming & Scripting: Strong proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, SQL.
• DevOps Tooling: Extensive expertise with IaC tools (Terraform), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Datadog).
