Job summary

Allegis Group is seeking a skilled cloud software engineer in Bengaluru to develop and maintain cloud-based applications using Angular 17+ and Java/Spring Boot, integrated with REST APIs. The role involves AWS-hosted services, containerization with Docker, and deployment via Kubernetes/EKS.

You will drive CI/CD automation and IaC across the stack. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD, plus knowledge of Terraform/Helm and production support.

Qualifications

• Experience in software engineering/cloud app development.
• Hands-on with Angular 17+ and TypeScript.
• Backend experience with Java/Spring Boot, Node.js or Python.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on AWS experience including EKS and core services.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes/EKS and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of Git/GitHub, Jenkins and deployment automation.
• Familiarity with Terraform/OpenTofu, Helm or CloudFormation.
• Experience with event-driven systems, production support and automated testing is preferred.

Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and enhance cloud-based applications using Angular 17+, TypeScript, Java/Spring Boot and REST APIs.
• Build responsive and scalable UI components and integrate them with backend microservices.
• Develop and maintain AWS-hosted applications and services.
• Containerize applications using Docker and deploy/manage workloads on Kubernetes/AWS EKS.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins/GitHub and automate build and deployment processes.
• Work with cloud configuration and Infrastructure as Code concepts.
• Troubleshoot application, deployment and production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering, product and cloud teams in an Agile environment.
• Follow security, testing, monitoring and production-support best practices.

Preferred candidate profile

• 47 years of experience in software engineering/cloud application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Angular 17+ and TypeScript.
• Good backend experience in Java/Spring Boot, Node.js or Python.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, preferably including EKS and other core AWS services.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes/EKS and CI/CD.
• Good understanding of Git/GitHub, Jenkins and deployment automation.
• Exposure to Terraform/OpenTofu, Helm or CloudFormation is an advantage.
• Experience with event-driven systems/messaging, production support and automated testing is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.
