Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and support cloud infrastructure across modern environments from Hyderabad. You will work with engineering, security, and operations to build scalable, reliable solutions and automate day-to-day cloud tasks.

The role requires 4+ years’ experience with cloud platforms and Microsoft tech, strong scripting and automation skills, and a collaborative mindset in a global team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combo of education and experience.
• 1+ years hands-on public cloud experience (AWS preferred).
• 3+ years with Microsoft Server, IIS, .NET, PowerShell, AD, Entra.
• Experience with CI/CD, IaC, monitoring, and Git audit (SOC 2, ISO-27001).
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience in distributed teams; cloud security & compliance basics.
• Certifications in Security, AWS, Azure, or similar are a plus.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer with 4+ years of experience to design, implement, support, and improve cloud infrastructure across modern environments. You will work closely with engineering, security, and operations teams to build scalable solutions, strengthen reliability, and automate day-to-day cloud operations.

How You Will Do It

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Operate a large production Microsoft tech stack in a global AWS deployment
• Automate Infrastructure, monitoring, alerting, software builds, testing, deployments, etc.
• Seek and share knowledge with other engineers and help advance our learning culture
• Participate in the Agile process with cross-functional teams
• Contribute operational and systems expertise to the software development lifecycle
• Contribute to organization-wide processes and standards
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and profitability
• Implement, operate, and support the ongoing improvement of security and compliance controls, polices, and process

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• 1+ years' hands-on public cloud experience (AWS preferred)
• 3+ years' hands-on experience with Microsoft Server, IIS, .Net, PowerShell, Active Directory, and Entra
• Experience with CI/CD Infrastructure as code Monitoring Git Audit experience (SOC 2, ISO-27001, etc.)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working in a distributed workforce
• Security, Microsoft, and AWS certifications strongly preferred
• Experience with the following is a plus Jira Confluence Terraform DevOps Containers and Container Orchestration
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Strong proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages. Experience supporting scalable cloud-based applications and infrastructure. Working knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and access control practices. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional technical teams.
