Job summary

Infotel UK Consulting in Chennai seeks a seasoned Cloud and IT Operations engineer to automate provisioning using Ansible and Terraform. You will containerize legacy apps and drive Kubernetes adoption.

You will mentor peers, share best practices, and work with cross-functional teams to meet cloud migration goals by 2026. Strong scripting, Linux, and CI/CD experience are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master’s in CS/CE from a recognized university.
• 5+ years in IT Operations or software engineering.
• 2+ years with a Cloud provider (IBM/AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Hands-on with Ansible and Docker; Linux proficiency.
• Certifications in CKAD, RH294 and Terraform/ Vault are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Ansible playbooks and Terraform scripts for provisioning, configuration and deployments.
• Containerize legacy applications and streamline Kubernetes workloads.
• Train and mentor other ops profiles on Ansible, Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure and development teams on cloud initiatives.

Position Purpose:

As part of our transformation programs, we need to board our applications on IBM cloud by 2026. Within the implementation team, the candidate will work with multiple teams, including Engineering, Infrastructure, and development teams

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

As a member of the Cloud team, the candidate will:

• Build and maintain Ansible playbooks and terraform scripts to automate provisioning, configuration and deployments
• Work on containerization of legacy applications
• Assist & train other ops profiles on Ansible, Terraform and K8s
