Job summary

Kavi India in Chennai is seeking a Cloud & DevOps Engineer with 4–5 years of IT experience to build, automate, and support cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for application teams. You will provision Azure resources, deploy apps reliably, and keep them secure, monitored and cost-efficient.

The role covers Terraform/Bicep, Docker, AKS, Entra ID, monitoring with Application Insights, and scripting in PowerShell or Bash.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years IT experience with at least 2–3 years hands-on in Microsoft Azure.
• Core Azure services: compute, networking, storage and App Service.
• Hands-on in CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps; Git for source control.
• Experience with Terraform or Bicep/ARM templates.
• Experience with Docker; basic Kubernetes knowledge (AKS).
• Linux administration and scripting in PowerShell or Bash.
• Networking basics: DNS, firewalls/NSGs, load balancing, SSL.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Automate routine tasks with PowerShell or Bash scripts.
• Monitor cloud costs and suggest right-sizing; maintain docs for environments and pipelines.

You will work with developers and QA to provision Azure environments, deploy applications reliably and keep them secure, monitored and cost effective.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provision and manage core Azure resources such as Virtual Machines, App Service, Virtual Networks, Storage and Azure SQL / PostgreSQL.
  
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for application builds and deployments.
  
• Write and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform or Bicep.
  
• Containerise applications with Docker and support deployments to AKS or App Service.
  
• Manage access and secrets using Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC and Key Vault.
  
• Set up monitoring and alerts with Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
  
• Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure and performance issues across environments.
  
• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell or Bash scripts.
  
• Keep an eye on cloud costs and suggest right-sizing where needed.
  
• Maintain documentation for environments, pipelines and deployment steps.
  

Required Skills:

• 4–5 years of IT experience, with at least 2–3 years hands-on in Microsoft Azure.
  
• Good working knowledge of core Azure services: compute, networking, storage and App Service.
  
• Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps; Git for source control.
  
• Working experience with Terraform or Bicep / ARM templates.
  
• Experience with Docker; basic working knowledge of Kubernetes (AKS).
  
• Comfortable with Linux administration and scripting in PowerShell or Bash.
  
• Understanding of networking basics: DNS, firewalls / NSGs, load balancing and SSL certificates.
  
• Good troubleshooting and communication skills.
  

Good to Have:

• Exposure to AWS or GCP is a plus.
  
• Exposure to Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  
• Experience deploying .NET, Node.js / React or Python applications.
  
• Experience with Nginx or IIS.
  

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
