Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Hyderabad, India is seeking a Cloud Developer III to design, develop and maintain scalable SaaS components for our next-generation observability platform. The role emphasizes Java-based backend services, security, and API design within a collaborative, on-site team.

The candidate will contribute to a robust cloud platform, work with Redis/Elasticsearch/Cassandra/MySQL stacks, and align with Agile and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in designing, implementing and deploying highly scalable SaaS applications and distributed systems.
• Strong background in Core Java, multi-threading, data structures, distributed systems, Spring, Spring Security and Hibernate.
• Experience with OAuth/SAML tooling and authentication/authorization mechanisms (JWT, RBAC).
• Experience building APIs and working with Redis, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, MySQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain scalable SaaS solutions within observability space.
• Develop scalable, robust, testable code and collaborate with DevOps for production deployments.
• Lead design/code reviews and work with product, QA and remote teams.
• Ensure security, performance and reliability of services.
• Implement secure authentication/authorization mechanisms and API designs.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in lifecycle activities from requirements to deployment.
• Work with product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor juniors and coordinate across remote teams when needed.

In the HPE Hybrid Cloud, we lead the innovation agenda and technology roadmap for all of HPE. This includes managing the design, development, and product portfolio of our next-generation cloud platform, Green Lake. Management Level Definition

Contributions include applying developed subject matter expertise to solve common and sometimes complex technical problems and recommending alternatives where necessary. Might act as project lead and provide assistance to lower level professionals. Exercises independent judgment and consults with others to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.

What You’ll do

• To strengthen and expand our Observability solutions, we are looking for an engineer to design and develop solutions that are highly scalable and robust.
• The ideal candidate should have experience in building and designing scalable services with a focus on performance.
• You write scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and easily maintainable code.
• Responsible for development, support and maintenance of one or more modules related to observability data points.
• Optimize the application for maximum speed and scalability.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user‑facing elements with server‑side logic.
• Work closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams to deploy and monitor applications in production environments.
• Involving in life‑cycle project delivery work that includes requirement analysis, designing, building, testing and deployment
• Analyse use cases and requirements to design secure and scalable solutions.

What You Need to Bring

• Must have 7-10 years of experience in designing, implementation and deployment of highly scalable SaaS applications/platforms and distributed systems.
• Strong background in Core Java, Multi-Threading, Data Structures, Distributed Systems, Spring framework, Spring security, Hibernate.
• Proven abilities to prepare necessary Design Specifications, participate in Design and Code Reviews and work with Customer Support Teams for Customer Escalations.
• Strong Experience with the design and implementation of OAuth / SAML tooling.
• Experience in authentication and authorization mechanisms such as JWT, session-based authentication, and role-based access control (RBAC).
• Strong data structure and algorithm skills to work with distributed backend systems.
• Experience designing and building APIs.
• Experience working with redis, elasticsearch, cassandra, mysql.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD environment.
• Participate in Design and Code Reviews and work with Customer Support Teams for Customer Escalations.
• Demonstrated abilities to work with Product management, QA, and remote teams.Have excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Deep expertise in AI-First SDLC methodologies and tools, with a proven ability to identify, implement, and leverage AI-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency, innovation, and business value
• All 5 days' work from office.
