Job summary

Texplorers INC in Hyderabad is seeking a Cloud Data Platform Engineer to operate and scale Azure-based data platforms, ensuring high availability and security.

You will administer Azure Synapse, Databricks, Azure SQL, and storage, optimize pipelines, implement IaC, and drive automation with CI/CD and PowerShell.

The role collaborates with data teams to enable trusted analytics through Power BI and APIs, demanding 5–8 years of Azure experience.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years in cloud data platforms with Azure stack.
• Hands-on with Synapse, Databricks, SQL Server and storage.
• Experience in security and governance in Azure.

Responsibilities

• Operate and support Azure-based data platforms for availability.
• Administer Azure SQL, Synapse, Databricks, and storage services.
• Monitor health, troubleshoot incidents, root-cause analysis.
• Optimize databases, pipelines, and platform performance.
• Manage access using Entra ID and Azure RBAC.
• Support Power BI, APIs, and data integrations.
• Perform deployments, provisioning, migrations, DR activities.
• Develop automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and IaC for deployments.
• Create runbooks and SOPs for operations.

Key Skills

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, SQL Server, Azure Data Lake Storage, Power BI, and API integrations, combined with experience in cloud platform and database administration, performance tuning, monitoring, backup & disaster recovery, incident management, security & governance (Microsoft Entra ID, Azure RBAC, Managed Identities, Service Principals).
• Basic DevOps practices including Azure DevOps, GitHub, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/ARM), PowerShell, Azure CLI, T-SQL, and automation scripting
