Job summary

Penthara Technologies in India is seeking a proactive Cloud Administrator with 1+ year of IT infrastructure, system administration, cloud operations, or technical support experience. The role focuses on supporting cloud environments, automation, and migration activities across Windows, Linux, and virtualization platforms.

You will monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, develop PowerShell scripts, and coordinate with global customers and cross‑functional teams, with an evening IST shift

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in IT infrastructure, sys admin, or cloud ops.
• Strong foundation in networking, Windows & Linux admin.
• Experience with migration projects.
• PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Troubleshoot and maintain enterprise systems.
• Ability to work during evening shift IST.
• Good communication skills.
• Familiarity with M365 administration is preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Cloud Administrator with 1+ year of experience in IT Infrastructure, System Administration, Cloud Operations, or Technical Support. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in networking, Windows and Linux administration, virtualization technologies, PowerShell scripting, and migration activities.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting cloud infrastructure, automating administrative tasks, assisting with migration projects, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the reliability and performance of enterprise systems. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience with cloud technologies while working closely with global customers and cross‑functional teams.

Shift Timings

Evening Shift: 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM IST (Non‑Negotiable)

We primarily work with customers in the US EST time zone.

Requirements

• Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure and virtual environments.
• Assist in cloud and Microsoft 365 migration projects.
• Administer and support Windows and Linux environments.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize PowerShell scripts for automation and operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot networking, operating system, and hardware-related issues.
• Monitor system health, availability, and performance.
• Support virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, and VirtualBox.
• Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, patching, and backup verification activities.
• Maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Provide technical support and assist in incident resolution.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless deployment and maintenance of cloud services.
• Support user onboarding, account administration, and access management activities.

Required Skills

• 1+ year of experience in IT Infrastructure, System Administration, Technical Support, or Cloud Operations.
• Strong understanding of Networking Fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Routing).
• Good knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and administration.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Linux Operating Systems.
• Hands‑on experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Understanding of Virtualization Technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, VirtualBox).
• Experience supporting migration projects (Cloud, Microsoft 365, Server, or Data Migration).
• Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and system diagnostics.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration and cloud technologies is preferred.
