Job summary

Akhil Systems in Gurugram invites a Clinical Expert to bridge clinical practice and technology. You will collaborate with product and IT teams to ensure HIS/EMR/EHR solutions meet clinical needs, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

With 10+ years in hospital or healthcare settings and MD, you will lead clinical IT projects, mentor teams, and help design, test, and deploy care workflows, while maintaining data privacy and standards such as HL7 and ICD-10.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent degree is required.
• Minimum of 10+ years of clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Experience working in healthcare IT, either directly or in collaboration with IT teams.
• Knowledge of healthcare IT systems such as Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Understanding of clinical workflows, patient care processes, and healthcare regulations.
• Solid communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate clinical needs to technical teams.
• Experience with healthcare standards and data exchange protocols (HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, etc.).
• Ability to lead and manage clinical IT projects, from concept through implementation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product development teams to ensure IT solutions align with clinical needs and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the integration of clinical best practices into healthcare IT systems (such as HIS, EMR, and EHR platforms).
• Provide input on the design and optimization of healthcare software to improve patient care, clinical efficiency, and safety.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, product management, development, and implementation teams to ensure the effective delivery of clinical solutions.
• Train and mentor internal teams and healthcare professionals on the use of IT systems in clinical settings.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, protocols, and data privacy laws, such as HIPAA, ICD-10, and HL7.
• Conduct clinical workflow assessments to identify gaps and recommend solutions for improvement.
• Stay up-to-date on medical and healthcare IT advancements, trends, and regulations to inform solution development.
• Support pre-sales activities by demonstrating clinical knowledge and IT solutions to prospective clients.
