Daily tasks include coding, debugging hospital data issues, documenting transformation logic for audits, and collaborating with hospital and pharmaceutical partners. The position is pan-India, lasting six months with 7-10 years of experience desired.
The role involves extracting patient EHR data from European hospitals, pseudonymising it, and transforming diagnosis, lab results, and medication codes from hospital standards (ICD-10, LOINC) to OMOP standardized vocabularies such as SNOMED-CT. The engineer will build ETL workflows for multiple clinical domains and implement data quality validation frameworks ensuring completeness and compliance with FDA/EMA standards.
Required expertise and technical skills: Candidates must have over 5 years of experience with hospital EMR/EHR systems like EPIC or Cerner, hands-on knowledge of OMOP CDM, clinical coding systems, and master data management techniques for patient identity resolution. Advanced Python and SQL skills for ETL development, familiarity with cloud platforms, and data quality frameworks are essential. Regulatory knowledge including GxP and data governance is preferred.
